Affiliation Deadline: June 8 is the deadline to change your party affiliation if you want to vote in a different party’s primary election. It is also the day ballots are mailed. Because ballots must be printed ahead of time, voters who change their party affiliation after May 26 may first receive a ballot for their previous party before receiving a new mail ballot for their updated affiliation.
If you are unsure of your current party affiliation or want to switch party affiliation, we encourage you to
check your voter registration now.
Unaffiliated voters will be mailed both major party ballots (Democratic and Republican) but can only vote and return one ballot. Unaffiliated voters can also choose to vote in the Libertarian or Unity Party primary, but different steps need to be taken (party change required for Libertarian primary).

Unaffiliated Frequently Asked Questionss page on our website to see your options.
