The LWV has two missions—Advocacy (our positions on the ballot issues) and Education (our nonpartisan information about the issues and their proponents and opponents).

Where We Stand: Our positions on the ballot issues
LWV can support or oppose ballot issues only if our members have established a Program Position directly relevant to the question before the voters. To arrive at such positions, members prioritize a public policy area, study it in depth, and identify the points around which members are in broad agreement. Positions are reconsidered annually and affirmed, revised or dropped.

Information on the Ballot Issues in Boulder County

For Boulder County and its municipalities we provide our analysis of the major provisions and background of each issue on the 2022 ballot, followed by summaries of the arguments of those in favor of the issue and those opposed.

While the LWV never supports or opposes a candidate, we provide candidate forums. On our YouTube Channel you can watch videos of our candidate forums and presentations on the Boulder issues.

State Ballot Issues Information

This year's ballot includes eleven statewide proposals—3 Amendments to the Colorado Constitution and 8 Propositions to amend the Colorado Revised Statutes.

The five proposals listed by letter (D–GG) were referred to voters by the Colorado Legislature

The six proposals listed by number (121–126) were placed on the ballot by voter petitions

Voters are also asked to vote whether to RETAIN IN OFFICE our Colorado judges
