Bequest
Bequests are the simplest and most common planned gift. The gift can be specified in a will, or as a percentage of a donor’s estate. LWVBC could be made a beneficiary of an IRA, other retirement savings fund, or life insurance policy. Bequests can be directed to an LWVBC endowment fund, a percentage of which will fund activities even as the fund grows over time. Or, a bequest could be used for a current need.
Major Gift
As a charitable organization, LWVBC can accept gifts of many kinds and any size to address program priorities or activities as they arise, or to ensure funding for ongoing operations. For example, in 2017 LWVBC successfully raised more than $30,000 to fund a new Administrative Assistant position, which propelled our capacity to serve Boulder County residents in new and exciting ways.
Whatever you choose, your gift will empower voters and defend democracy for years to come!Getting Started
