Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy.

Join an Issue Team

Our Issue Teams welcome new participants. You don't need to be a subject matter expert, nor do you need to be a League member to attend team meetings. Just bring your passion for change!

The first step to getting involved is to register for a meeting by either going to the team webpage linked below, checking the calendar for the next meeting, or reaching out to a team leader directly.

To learn more about the teams and their work, view the team's dedicated page by clicking on a link below.

  • Climate Action

  • Voting Methods
  • Voter Service
  • Immigration and Immigrant Rights - LWVBC doesn't currently have a team working on Immigration and Immigrant Rights, but a group of interested members could form a team with the permission of the Board of Directors.
  • Timing of Municipal and Special District Elections - LWVBC has a small study team investigating the Timing of Municipal and Special District Elections.  If there is sufficient need for an issue team, more information will become available.
