Victory: Court Blocks USCIS Rule in LWV Lawsuit
Last November, the League of Women Voters of Colorado and six local Leagues — the Leagues of Women Voters of Arapahoe-Douglas Counties, Boulder County, Denver, Estes Park, Greeley-Weld, and Larimer County — joined the League of Women Voters of the United States and the League of Women Voters of New Jersey in suing the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and other federal officials over a new rule barring nonpartisan civic engagement groups from providing voter registration and civic engagement services at administrative naturalization ceremonies. The Leagues are represented by Campaign Legal Center.
