Compost Facility Community Conversation

Large Scale Composting
A Boulder County Conversation Addressing:
What? Why? Who? Where? and How?

Join the League of Women Voters of Boulder County in a community conversation to clarify the history, what composting is, where does it come from, where does it go, what are the costs and the benefits, and where do we go from here.

There has been much in the local news about a possible new compost facility to serve Boulder County.  While the location on open space has been taken out of consideration, the need for a facility remains.

Speakers:
Dan Matsch, Manager, Eco-Cycle’s Compost Department

Tim Broderick, Senior Sustainability Strategist of Boulder County's Office of Sustainability, Climate Action & Resilience (OSCAR)

Bob Yost, VP, Chief Technical Officer, A1 Organics, in Keenesburg

Charlie Kamenides, Longmont Waste Services Manager and Chair of Boulder Co. Recycling and Conservation Advisory Board (RCAB)

Elizabeth Black, Founder of Citizen Science Soil Health Project
