The City of Boulder Division of Housing, in partnership with the Boulder County Regional Housing Partnership, will host a Fair Housing film screening and panel discussion on May 21, 2018, at the Dairy Arts Center from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This event recognizes and celebrates the 50th anniversary of the passing of the Fair Housing Act, one of the great achievements of the Civil Rights Era.

The short film "Seven Days" chronicles the week following the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Following Dr. King's death, the country experienced significant civil unrest while Congress took swift action to pass significant legislation that would reshape our communities for the ensuing half-century.

Deputy Director of Housing, Kurt Firnhaber will moderate the panel of local and regional participants that will share their perspectives from the Civil Right Era, how the Fair Housing Act plays out in our community today and current challenges facing our Front Range communities.

The event is free and open to public but ticket reservations are required.

When:  6:30-8:30 pm, Monday 21 May 2018
Where:  Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut St., Boulder, CO 80302
